Description
Hi res landscape photography of the Old City Gates in Saint Augustine Florida. These old coquina gates have been used for at least two hundred years as the main entrance to the old city of Saint Augustine. Also in the image is the old Spanish fort Castillo De San Marcos (Lower center right) built in the 17th century by the Spanish to protect the city and the Spanish treasure fleets which would start their trek east over the Atlantic Ocean to Spain from near this location.
